============================================================
3 PhD & 1 Postdoc position in simulating single molecule pulling experiments at the University of Copenhagen

We are pleased to announce 3 PhD positions and 1 Postdoc position in the Department of Chemistry at the University of Copenhagen.

The Project:
Single-molecule conductance measurements have developed extensively over the last fifteen years, in a large part due to the reliability that has come from statistical sampling over thousands of repeat measurements. The challenge for this project is to embrace the complexity of those experiments and to develop unbiased theoretical tools that can model these non-equilibrium systems, including the full geometric complexity of the system with each repeat measurement.
Specifically, we seek to develop methods that can model conductance, force and vibrational spectroscopy of single molecules, with statistical sampling over hundreds to thousands of repeat calculations.

Starting Date:
Flexible, from September 2013 - September 2014.

Qualifications Required:
	• Experience in computational chemistry or physics.
	• Good communication skills (written and oral) in English.
	• A MSc or equivalent degree (for PhD positions)/ a PhD (for postdoc. position)

Qualifications Desirable:
	• Experience developing code/scripts
	• Experience with ASE, GPAW and/or DFTB+
	• Experience in molecular dynamics
	• Experience in modeling electron transfer/transport

Applications close:
6th of August, 2013
