[DFTB+ Announce] DFTB+ 25.1 released

Dear DFTB+ users,

The next version of DFTB+ (25.1) has now been released. This version
contains several new features and improvements, including:

* Periodic geometry hybrid functionals

* Electronic constraints for the ground state

* Further GPU and MPI parallel acceleration for DFTB+ and some of the 
related tools

And also some bug fixes (particularly for implicit solvents).

You can obtain the new version from the usual stable release page. See:

We hope that the new DFTB+ release will be helpful for your scientific
work.

community and for all your feedback and contributions in 2025. We are
